Santa Pola - Portus Illicitanus

Santa Pola is an ancient sea port, with its prosperity very much dependent upon the 'frutas de la mer'; couple this with the historic battles between 'Moros y Cristianos' and it is not surprising that most of the celebrations in Santa Pola are closely linked to the sea and religion.
