Travelling from the United Kingdom

If you are arriving by air, a wide range of airlines fly into Alicante airport, which is just 10 kilometres from Santa Pola. A selection of both scheduled and low-cost airlines are shown below. Just click on any of the logos to connect to their on-line reservations pages.

Upon arrival, there are local taxis to take you to the apartment, but you may wish to hire a car and drive yourself. Alicante airport has car rental offices for the major fleets and it is often better to pre-book in the U.K. than wait until you arrive at the airport.

A good tip if travelling as a couple is to have one person waiting for the cases in baggage reclaim, and the other go down the ramp and organise the hire car. The hire fleet is situated across the road from the arrivals hall. Some car hire web sites are linked below - just click!

(Be warned! Do not go outside the arrivals area until you are ready to as you may not be allowed back in.)
 

In addition to flying, you may wish to extend your holiday by touring, and decide to drive down through the Spanish countryside. Brittany Ferries run regular ferries from Plymouth to Santander and P & O run from Portsmouth to Bilbao, both approx 12 hours driving from Santa Pola.
